Items to Check Before You Import

Here's your import pre-checklist.

  1. Have a Professional Email Account: Make sure you've created a Professional Email account before starting the import process.

  2. Check Your Storage: Verify that your current mailbox size is less than the available storage in your Professional Email account. If needed, consider deleting unwanted emails from your old mailbox or upgrading your Professional Email plan.

  3. Gather Your Login Credentials: Have your email address and password for your old email provider readily available. If using a less common service, locate the IMAP server details (hostname, port) for manual configuration.

  4. Decide What to Import: Do you want to import all your emails or just specific folders/labels? Consider consolidating emails from multiple accounts into your Professional Email inbox.

Important:

  • While the migration is in process, you can process more email accounts to the import queue.
  • The tool prioritizes your recent emails, bringing you the most relevant messages first.
  • Spam and Trash folders (including subfolders) won't be imported by default to keep your new Inbox clean. If you have important emails in these folders, you need to move them to a different folder before importing them.
  • The Import tool follows a specific order: Inbox, Drafts, Sent, and then all other folders. This ensures you a clear and organized structure in your new mailbox.
